The Programme of the Blacksmith Festival 2010
Ivano-Frankivsk
7th May, 2010
• 9.00 – 18.00 – Sheptytskyy Square
• Registration of the guests and participants (registration fee – 5 euro)
• Demonstration of blacksmiths’ work
• A fair of forged items (cost of a tent – 7m² - 40 Euros per 2 days, cost of a place under the awning – 3.5 m² - 20 Euros per 2 days)
• Execution of a composition “Blacksmith Ring” by the Ukrainian blacksmiths and the guests from abroad
• Blacksmiths from England, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Spain, Lithuania, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Uzbekistan, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Sweden, Norway, Lithuania, Latvia and other countries will demonstrate their skills
• Bohdan Popov School of Traditional Blacksmithing (Kyiv), seminar “Post-industrial Blacksmithing- the Art of a Hammer and an Anvil”, presentation of the author anvil and hand tools for blacksmiths.
• Air furnace.
• Vasyl Kachmar’s Cossack Tent ( authentic weapons and costumes)

• Attending of the subject exhibition “A Sacral Sign in Blacksmithing”
• 11.00 – The official opening of the Blacksmith Festival 2010
• The grand unveiling of the composition “Within the Framework of Blacksmith Traditions” forged in 2009
• 18.00 -– welcoming Grilled Ram party “Blacksmith Cuisine” – grilled real Hutsul ram, real Uzbek plov, real Precarpathian borsch. Communication, exchange of experience , entrance by invitation (about 12 Euros).
